Class Schedule – Specialist Study Programme
Based on Article 70(1) of the Act on Higher Education and Scientific Activity (“Official Gazette” No. 119/22), pursuant to Articles 44(1) and 165(1) and (2) of the Statute of Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek, the Senate of Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek, at its 9th session in the academic year 2024/2025 held on 25 June 2025, under item 8 of the agenda, adopts the following
DECISION
ON THE ACADEMIC CALENDAR
FOR THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2025/2026
Classes in university undergraduate study programmes, integrated undergraduate and graduate study programmes, university graduate study programmes, as well as professional undergraduate and professional graduate study programmes conducted at the constituent units of Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek in the academic year 2025/2026 shall begin on 1 October 2025.
Classes in the winter semester of the academic year 2025/2026 shall be held from 1 October 2025 to 19 December 2025, and from 7 January to 23 January 2026.
The Christmas and New Year holidays shall last from 22 December 2025 to 6 January 2026.
The winter examination period shall last from 26 January to 20 February 2026.
Classes in the summer semester of the academic year 2025/2026 shall be held from 23 February to 5 June 2026.
The summer examination period shall last from 8 June to 10 July 2026.
The autumn examination period shall last from 24 August to 25 September 2026.
University constituent units that conduct classes in rotations or block teaching during the academic year 2025/2026 may organize classes within a shorter time frame than that determined for teaching in the winter and summer semesters in items 2 and 5 of this Decision.
The Holy Mass marking the beginning of the new academic year 2025/2026 shall be held on 12 October 2025, and the Holy Mass of thanksgiving marking the end of the academic year shall be held on 7 June 2026.
